Hello Folks!

This is my first (and possibly last) post, so please be gentle with me

I joined the forum just to ask one specific question, and here it is:-

Whatever happened to the Police and Ambulance mods' of the MB Sprinter 313 CDI, which were first shown on Youtube way back in 2013?

These mods' looked fantastic, even in their WIP form, and had so much potential for further development. Five years is a long time and I know that developers can become bored and move on to other things. But, I'm a big fan of emergency vehicles in OMSI2 and would really like to know if the project is abandoned or if someone, somewhere, is either working on it, or something similar perhaps?

Apologies if this has been asked before (endlessly), but I don't understand Polish and could find no clue to the topic in other posts.

As far as I know, they were never finished by their authors, who had more and more responsibilities in real life which resulted in developers quitting Omsi and leaving unfinished mods to their own archive.
Let me say, the Emergency Sprinters are like a legend of this forum. Half of it is true the half is a story.

I think I knew the answer before I asked the question ... but I still had to ask. It's a pity, but I've seen this happen a few times now with OMSI models. I appreciate that people have other things to do in life, but what I cannot understand is why they would abandon all that great work.

Presumably, they intended to release the models to the community (hence the Youtube video 'advert'), so why not release them 'as is' and maybe let some other people develop them???

Personally, I'm just starting to learn how to re-paint. I know nothing about 3D modelling, but those models looked way better than 'Work-In-Progress' to me. The strobe effect of the blue-lights, alone, is the best I've ever seen.

OK, I'll stop ranting now And so, the legend lives on ....
